The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to help deliver the best housing services in Tower Hamlets.
We are looking for a highly motivated person who is committed to the very highest standards of customer care and Housing management to join our busy team.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing a Neighbourhood patch, providing tenancy neutral Housing and Estate management services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the patch to an exceptionally high standard, engaging with and involving residents in the management of their Neighbourhood through regular estate inspections.
- Pro-actively dealing with all potential hazards and Fire Risk Assessment actions.
- Ensuring the speedy lettings of property in line with the councils' and national BVPI targets.
- Supporting and sustaining tenancies to prevent homelessness through the provision of general tenancy support to residents.
- Undertaking sensitively and effectively all aspects of tenancy management.
- Case managing residents with additional needs.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of Housing management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of motivation and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
