About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at a Barchester care home. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring the delivery of nursing care that meets the needs of our residents. You will implement person-centred care plans that make a real difference to their day-to-day lives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage the delivery of nursing care that meets the needs of our residents
  • Implement person-centred care plans that make a real difference to our residents' day-to-day lives
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care
  • Build relationships with local regulators and social services to ensure we are meeting our regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration
  • Experience in producing well-developed care plans and detailed risk assessments
  • Up-to-date knowledge of recent clinical practices and regulatory frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines
  • Natural leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team
