Job Title: Paediatric Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our team at Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and their families in our Paediatric Outpatient Departments.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in paediatric nursing. You will be responsible for assessing care needs, developing and implementing programmes of care, and participating in a full range of shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Assess care needs and develop programmes of care
  • Participate in a full range of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Be responsible for all aspects of clinical governance and risk management in outpatient clinics
  • Work with the senior nursing team to develop and implement care plans for children and young people seen outside of designated paediatric areas

Person Specification

We are looking for a Paediatric Nurse who:

  • Has a strong background in paediatric nursing, with experience in delivering evidence-based care to children in an acute hospital setting
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and continuing education
  • Has a strong understanding of paediatric nursing principles and practices
