About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Palliative Medicine Specialist to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Sobell House Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients with life-limiting conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients on the specialist inpatient wards in Sobell House and Katharine House Hospice.
  • Work within the Hospital Palliative Care Team, offering a consultative specialist advisory service for adults with life-limiting conditions.
  • Participate in the Community Palliative Care Team, working in concert with primary care to enable symptom control and advance care planning for adults with life-limiting conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of education and training programs for healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Person Specification
  • MB ChB/MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • GMC registration.
  • MRCP/MRCGP or equivalent specialist qualification.
  • Experience of palliative medicine and NHS working desirable.
