The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of school nursing in Scotland, focusing on key areas of intervention and support for school-age children and young people. As a lead school nurse, you will be responsible for interpreting and implementing service agendas, ensuring quality of care and consistency in the delivery of services across NHS Lothian.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a designated school nursing team, ensuring the delivery of the School Nursing Pathway and meeting the needs of the 5-19 school-age population and their families.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities among school-age children and young people.
- Collaborate with education and community settings to ensure seamless delivery of services and promote a culture of partnership and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations, including the PVG Scheme membership/record.
