Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Assurance Specialist to join our team at JAM Recruitment. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and transparency of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Review and Analysis: Conduct detailed reviews of project costs to ensure accuracy, validity, and compliance with financial policies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project teams to assess budget forecasts, cost trends, and financial risks.
  • Third-Party Payment Audits: Perform audits on third-party payments to ensure value for money and adherence to contract terms.
  • Cost Savings and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost savings and improvements in processes and reporting.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare and present cost reports, audits, and findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that cost assurance processes meet regulatory and contractual obligations.
  • Commercial Support: Support the commercial team in reviewing bids and tender evaluations from a cost perspective.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in a cost assurance, cost management, or finance role within infrastructure or construction sectors.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of project finances, budgeting, and cost control. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Qualifications: Familiarity with auditing processes and cost verification procedures. Relevant qualifications in cost management, accounting, or a related field (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, RICS) are highly desirable.
