We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join our team in Hull. As a Technical Manager, you will play a key role in leading site improvement and growth, working closely with our European Quality and Global Quality Director to ensure alignment and a two-way flow of information sharing.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and provide accurate KPI metrics, internally, to our customers and to AAK, to demonstrate both compliance and continuous improvement, across Hull division.
- Work closely with the European Quality and Global Quality Director to ensure alignment and a two-way flow of information sharing.
- Manage audits to deliver customer standards, policies, and required 3rd party audit standards.
- Proactive work with the sites leadership team to build and embed a continuously improving food safety culture in alignment and collaboration with, the Hull Site Strategy.
- Contribute to the development of strategic objectives and procedures across AAK International, ensuring their effective implementation at site(s) level.
- Develop and implement site quality strategy.
- Develop and improve existing quality systems, ensure compliance of food safety and quality standards are maintained sitewide.
- Conduct root cause and gap analysis to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement across critical control points and implement corrective action plans.
- Support Supplier approval system.
- Coordinate traceability challenges for QMS and audits.
- Manage complaints systems, identifying areas for improvement.
- Support change management.
- Degree in a related field.
- Able to effectively mentor, motivate and lead a team.
- Strong experience of identifying areas for improvement and implementing change, policies and procedures.
- Experience working with BRC, ISO and HACCP requirements.
- Pro-active approach to change management.
- Experience in creating quality systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience creating risk assessments.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to work well within a team and on own initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
