About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and continuous development of our underwriting footprint, ensuring it remains competitive and aligned with market trends.
  • Undertake regular reviews of our product range, conducting competitor analysis to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain product policy wordings, IPIDs, and underwriting guides, as well as other product literature.
  • Regularly analyze products to identify areas for growth and improvement, providing recommendations for corrective action.
  • Assist with the setup and management of bespoke broker arrangements, including review of new and existing deals, delegated authority, and trading agreements.
  • Contribute to the management of conduct risk, product approval, and governance.
  • Support the Technical Manager with projects as required.
Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Desirable: Working towards or in possession of CERT CII, DIP CII, or ACII.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in underwriting in the non-standard home market.
  • Insurance market knowledge and experience of analyzing data, producing reports, and providing recommendations.
  • Experience in underwriting in the residential let market and working knowledge of EDI and software house products.
