EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Early Years Educator to become a part of our dynamic team at Protocol National Limited. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care and education to children aged 0-5 years in a supportive and engaging atmosphere. A genuine passion for nurturing young minds, strong communication abilities, and teamwork skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a secure and nurturing environment where children can thrive through imaginative and engaging activities.
- Facilitate and execute developmentally appropriate activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, ensuring open lines of communication and documenting their interests and progress through observations.
- Encourage positive behavior management strategies, fostering a respectful and inclusive setting.
- Maintain a clean, organized nursery environment that supports learning and play.
- Serve as a key worker for a specific group of children, offering personalized care and support as required.
- Engage with parents, caregivers, and colleagues in a friendly and approachable manner.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education or an equivalent qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Diploma in Childcare and Education).
- Prior experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a nursery or early years environment.
- Strong understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
- A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Paediatric First Aid Certification.
- Training in Safeguarding and Child Protection.
- Additional training or experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Experience engaging with children from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Working Hours: Full Time
Salary: Competitive, £13 per hour
