Role: Communications and Public Relations Lead

Location: Flexible working arrangements available

Working Hours: Part-time role, 21 hours per week

Compensation: Competitive salary, pro-rata based on experience

Reporting To: Director of Marketing

About the Opportunity

Recann Recruitment is pleased to partner with a prestigious and innovative professional services organization in their search for a Communications and Public Relations Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the brand steward, ensuring uniformity in messaging, tone, and style across all communication channels.
  • Lead public relations initiatives and cultivate media opportunities.
  • Oversee significant campaigns, develop project timelines, and propel activities forward.
  • Provide high-level communication guidance to senior partners and assist in achieving their marketing goals.
  • Review and sanction external content, including email communications, podcasts, video content, and social media posts.
  • Approve internal communications, such as the company intranet and internal newsletters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Outstanding written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with key stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and active listening abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills to juggle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and commitment to service excellence for internal clients.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and software, including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Essential Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a communications, marketing, or public relations management role.
  • Experience in managing teams.
  • Background in media relations and reputation management.
  • Experience in collaborating with external agencies.

Preferred Experience:

  • Understanding of the professional services sector is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience with digital platforms such as HubSpot and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with the process of award submissions.
