Key Responsibilities:- Assess lead designer competence to carry out the Building Safety Act PD role.
- Manage the lead designer and design team to ensure duties as Building Safety Act PD are fulfilled.
- Ensure compliance with building safety regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to address any building regulation and/or safety concerns.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks during the construction phase.
- Keep detailed records of all design and construction activities.
- Communicate with clients, designers, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders on project progress and safety-related issues.
- A detailed understanding of the design process in relation to construction projects.
- An understanding of the Building Regulations and their application to design and building work.
- Experience in managing a design team throughout the RIBA design stages.
- Experience working with a project team and driving cooperation among various parties.
- An understanding of the Principal Contractor's duties to plan, manage, and monitor building work.
- The right behaviors to drive cooperation throughout the project team.
