Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Care Assistant to join our team at Bridgewater Manor Care Centre. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred care to residents, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Support residents with their daily living needs, including personal care, medication management, and mobility assistance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring residents' needs are met and their preferences respected.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to provide a seamless and efficient service, ensuring residents receive the highest level of care at all times.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you remain up-to-date with best practices in care delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience in a care environment, preferably in a residential or nursing setting.
  • Hold a Care Certificate or equivalent, or be willing to achieve this within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of care principles and practices, including the 6 principles of care.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be self-motivated and confident, with a passion for delivering high-quality care.
