About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Manager to join our Assets Commercial team at Northumbrian Water. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering our commercial performance targets and driving continuous improvement within our programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement performance management systems and processes to improve project outcomes.
  • Design and implement financial strategies and processes to ensure successful project outputs, including forecasting and budget compliance.
  • Report and act upon data relating to key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure project budgets and schedules are aligned and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and key stakeholders to identify areas for commercial improvements and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure supplier relationship management processes are in place and adhered to, providing feedback and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management and stakeholders based on data analytics and stakeholder engagement sessions.
Requirements
  • Experience in a performance-related delivery role, within a supplier partner relationship environment.
  • Track record in improving contractor performance through strong relationships and best practice approaches.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver presentations to all levels of stakeholders.
  • Experience with performance metrics in a construction portfolio environment and managing small teams, ideally with data collection and analysis focus.
