About the Role

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a dedicated and experienced Civil Liberties/Human Rights Paralegal for a permanent position.

The successful candidate will work in a team environment, taking responsibility for individual work and exercising financial control over tasks carried out. They will ensure Quality Control compliance and participate in marketing events to contribute to the firm's growth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively within a team and take responsibility for individual tasks.
  • Exercise financial control over work carried out, ensuring billing targets are met.
  • Ensure Quality Control compliance, dealing with non-compliance matters efficiently.
  • Participate in marketing events to contribute to the firm's growth.
  • Draft legal documents, liaise with clients, and develop advocacy skills.
  • Assist in dealing with complaints and audit enquiries.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong academic record and relevant experience in legal aid and litigation.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with the Legal Aid Agency's online CCMS system is an advantage.
  • Legal skills, negotiation skills, and analytical skills are essential.
