Barry M is a British cruelty-free cosmetics company, specialising in on-trend make-up and nail products. Founded in 1982, it remains an independent and family-owned business.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to assist the Supply Chain team with essential functions to ensure the department operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn the various aspects of the role to contribute to informed business decisions.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

Inventory Management

Taking charge of the inventory schedule and ensuring it is consistently updated.

Overseeing the flow of stock from purchase order placement to warehouse receipt, while maintaining communication with all relevant parties throughout the process.

Delivery Coordination

Collaborating closely with our logistics partners. Arranging shipments from international suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing.

Ensuring timely departures and arrivals of goods.

Coordinating with our warehouse team regarding any damaged or missing items and communicating this to the supplier.

Purchase Order Processing

Entering purchase orders into our system with precise pricing and quantities.

Following up with suppliers to ensure orders are progressing as planned.

Maintaining effective communication and strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.

Invoice Verification

Cross-referencing invoices with ordered and received stock before forwarding to the accounts department.

Sending payment confirmations to suppliers when feasible.

Assisting in providing data for stock reconciliation related to invoice payments.

Supporting the Supply Chain Function

Updating and distributing inventory reports and delivery fulfillment information to key retail partners.

General maintenance and upkeep of databases.

Ad-hoc administrative tasks.

The successful candidate will possess:

A minimum of 12 months experience in a comparable role.

A proactive attitude and self-motivation.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Proficiency in Excel.

The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain composure under pressure.

Initiative and a willingness to learn.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

It is crucial that the candidate can work efficiently with a high level of detail. The role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously with varying timelines, so the ability to balance these responsibilities and stay organised is essential.
