We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Insights Specialist. This role requires a deep understanding of data analysis, data modeling, and the ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights to support informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Data Analysis and Modeling: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and reporting requirements, analyze and document data sources, data structure, and data quality considerations.
- Dashboard Development: Create and maintain interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
- Data Modeling and Calculations: Develop data models, measures, and calculations to provide actionable insights using DAX, and SQL.
- Filtering and Slicing: Implement dynamic filters, slicers, and drill-down capabilities for enhanced user experience.
- Data Accuracy and Consistency: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all reports and dashboards.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing to validate data accuracy and performance.
- Communication: Communicate insights and findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to improve Power BI report performance and responsiveness.
- Database Optimization: Optimize SQL queries and database indexes to enhance overall system performance.
- Experience: Significant work experience in Power BI and SQL.
- SQL Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL database design principles.
- Data Analysis: Substantial experience in data analysis and data modeling.
- Power BI Skills: Experience with Power BI RLS.
- Additional Skills: Experience with Power Automate would be beneficial.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is desirable.
- Competitive Salary: Competitive salary from £35,000 to £43,000 per annum.
- Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays).
- Pension Scheme: Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution.
