Job Summary:

Pertemps Warrington is seeking an experienced Import Clerk to join our team in Liverpool. As an Import Clerk, you will be responsible for expediting inbound movements on behalf of our clients, while delivering strategic objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and processing pre-advices and shipping documentation
  • Opening files and issuing notices of arrival
  • Issuing customs clearance instructions
  • Booking FCL and LCL deliveries, including merchant and line haulages
  • Day-to-day invoicing
  • Following up on purchase orders/shipments
  • Communication with overseas offices/partners
  • Maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Requirements:

  • Deep sea import experience
  • Excellent ICT skills, including Microsoft packages
  • Good telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and good time-management
  • Excellent attention to detail
