Technical Publications Hub Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Publications Hub Manager to join our team at Oxford Instruments in a key role that will drive the development of technical content services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure effective project management.
  • Develop and implement clear project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet business objectives.
  • Manage the creation and publication of new technical content, including leading a team of technical authors.
  • Design and implement content writing processes and quality control measures to maintain high standards of technical accuracy and clarity.
  • Identify skills gaps within the team and provide training and development opportunities to enhance their expertise.
  • Develop and implement a modular content management system with version control to ensure efficient content management and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with business regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands.
  • Manage costs and external supplier relationships to optimize resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering or a technical discipline, or a qualification in English language with a strong technical portfolio.

Desirable Skills and Qualities:

  • Proven experience with Madcap Flare and Adobe FrameMaker, with a strong understanding of content management systems.
  • Technical authoring experience and leadership skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality content.
  • Strong planning, budgeting, and resource management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
  • Project management skills, with experience of leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects.
