About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Rubicon People Partnership. As a key member of our sheet metal manufacturing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the sheet metal production team, ensuring that production targets are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Provide hands-on support throughout the department, including making jigs and fixtures as required, welding, and kitting.
  • Raise orders with subcontractors and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Schedule work and allocate resources to meet production deadlines.
  • Implement and promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in a sheet metal production or manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and practices, including ISO 9001.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience or desire to work in a supervisory role, with a strong understanding of leadership principles and practices.
