Job Title: Deputy Engineering Manager

About the Role:

The Deputy Engineering Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bus fleet, working closely with the Engineering Manager to maintain and repair our vehicles to the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Engineering Manager in the day-to-day management of the engineering function
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of our bus fleet to the highest standards
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the efficient operation of the garage
  • Monitor and report on maintenance costs and performance
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance
  • Experience in a leadership or management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and procedures
