About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our team at the Irwell Unit, North Ward. As a key member of our inpatient mental health service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in ward reviews and contribute to the development of care plans
  • Support the consultant psychiatrist with daily tasks, including mental health act paperwork and tribunal-related work
  • Provide leadership and support to junior doctors within the department
  • Contribute to the teaching and training of mental health and non-mental health staff
Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Section 12 approval or willingness to seek approval
  • Minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience at CT, ST, or Staff Grade level
  • Experience relevant to working age psychiatry
  • Experience of teaching and training
