Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teaching Assistant

Join our team of dedicated professionals as a SEN Teaching Assistant, providing essential support to students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism and associated conditions.

About the Role

As a key member of our teaching team, you will play a vital role in supporting students to excel in their educational and personal development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored support to students in their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
  • Assisting students with personal and educational goals, particularly those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
  • Promoting an environment that values equality, diversity, and respect for all.
  • Playing a proactive role in fostering a positive learning environment, supporting students in developing confidence and independence.
  • Participating in physical intervention and personal care routines as required.
  • Collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for students, focusing on their transition into adult life.

  • Effective communicators, both in team settings and when working independently.
  • Willing to support outdoor and community-based learning activities.
  • Educated to at least Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent).
