Role Overview

The organization is initiating a significant greenfield separation initiative, transitioning their financial services and insurance operations from existing on-premises and cloud environments to a new Azure infrastructure. They are seeking four Technical Architects with diverse expertise to support this transformative project. The required roles include:

  • Data Solutions Architect (AWS/Azure, Python, Databricks)
  • Security Architect
  • Network Architect
  • Infrastructure Architect

Important Considerations:
1. This project is in its initial stages, and there will be workshops to define the program's framework. Initially, presence in designated offices will be necessary, with remote work options available post-workshops.
2. The initial contract duration is limited, with expectations for potential extensions as the project progresses. This initiative spans two years, providing opportunities for long-term engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure technical solutions that align with the overarching architecture strategy of the greenfield initiative.
  • Facilitate the migration of systems from on-premises and cloud environments to Azure, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
  • Participate in initial workshops to outline the program's scope, objectives, and architectural direction, offering expert insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure the integration of various systems and platforms, promoting interoperability and efficient data management.
  • Monitor and optimize technical solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness on the Azure platform.
  • Ensure compliance of all technical solutions with relevant security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for technical architectures, processes, and guidelines to facilitate knowledge sharing and governance.
  • Collaborate closely with other architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends and technologies, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance the program's architecture.

Candidate Profile: Skills & Experience

Each position requires substantial experience in a similar role within a comparable organization. The skillsets will vary across the four available roles.

  • Strong background in system architecture, including data architecture, network/infrastructure architecture, or security architecture.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages commonly utilized in cloud environments.
  • Experience with integration technologies and methodologies.
  • Expertise in optimizing technical solutions for performance and cost-effectiveness on cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focused on delivering high-quality technical solutions.
  • Proven capability to work collaboratively in a team environment, effectively managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
