Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our finance team in Grantham. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely management reports, including financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify areas of concern or improvement.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to improve financial performance.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of financial data to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end financial close.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support audit preparations and provide assistance as needed.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, including Sage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional certification, such as ACCA or AAT, would be advantageous.
