About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Decarbonisation Solar Project Manager to join our team at Commercial Services Group. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for overseeing renewable energy installation projects, ensuring client satisfaction and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of solar PV technologies, including modules, mounting systems, inverters, and monitoring systems.
  • Manage projects from conception through installation to final commissioning, ensuring the highest quality standards are met on time and within budget.
  • Ensure application of risk and issue management across the project(s), instigate mitigation actions, identify contingency plans, and manage remedial actions through to conclusion.
  • Conduct project meetings and attend programme and portfolio meetings, maintaining effective working relationships to deliver high customer satisfaction.
  • Agree and monitor snagging and handover process to ensure full project completion.
  • Set and review contractor responsibilities and expectations.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in project management, such as APM Project Management Qualification or another recognised qualification.
  • Experience delivering Solar Projects such as large-scale commercial roof-top installations with an understanding of the technical requirements to deliver the project.
  • A high level of computer literacy and ability to create and use complex spreadsheets or project management software packages.
  • Ability to survey large buildings, make accurate records of existing installed lighting and other M&E equipment.
  • Experience delivering tight timescale projects.
  • Understanding of public sector procurement rules and practice (desirable).
  • Full UK Driving License.
