Maintenance Engineer Opportunity at Greggs

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Greggs Balliol Supply Site. As a key member of our Site Engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engineering improvements to optimize production efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Monitor plant performance and equipment condition, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with site teams to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and other departments to achieve maintenance excellence.
Requirements:
  • Multi-skilled manufacturing background, preferably in the food or FMCG sectors.
  • Electrically biased with PLC experience, multi-skilled and trained to an apprentice level.
  • Knowledge of PLC automated control systems, processes, fault-finding and analysis, particularly Siemens TIA Portal and Step 5/7 operating systems, Allen Bradley / Mitsubishi.
  • Experience with Microsoft 360 packages, SAP systems and CMMS (or other).
  • Ability to comply with Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
