Site Agent Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Site Agent with a background in civil engineering to lead and manage civil engineering projects within the water sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Site Management: Oversee all aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards are met.
  2. Site Supervision: Manage construction activities, including subcontractor management, resource allocation, and scheduling, while maintaining a safe working environment.
  3. Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders, coordinating meetings and providing progress updates.
  4. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications and industry standards.
  5. Team Leadership: Motivate and inspire project teams to achieve performance targets and deliver high-quality results.
  6. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare accurate and timely reports, including progress reports, risk assessments, and method statements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Site Agent or Site Manager on civil engineering projects, preferably within the water sector.
  • Valid SMSTS certification is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on water infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
