Asset Building Surveyor

We are working with a local authority in Salford to find a Building Surveyor on an interim basis. This is a full-time role with a flexible working policy in place.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage building works from conception through to completion
- Deliver high-quality service to a diverse range of clients, including education and local authority projects
- Administer building contracts and act as 'Lead Discipline' on programmed capital projects
- Perform all aspects of professional surveying work, including surveys, Party Wall work, dilapidations, Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliance, and Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs)
- Conduct inspections to resolve building defects, assign contractors, and manage the works
- Work on various projects, including refurbishments of children's residential homes, school refurbishments, and large-scale projects
- Proven experience in managing large-scale building projects
- Strong project management skills, including contract management
- Local authority experience is advantageous but not essential
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites
