Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our CAMHS team in Essex. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide senior medical support and guidance to our clinicians, working closely with children and young people with mental health needs, particularly those with eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide senior medical leadership and guidance to our CAMHS team, ensuring high-quality care and support for our service users.
  2. Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to deliver comprehensive care plans.
  3. Liaise with external CAMHS providers and acute hospitals to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
  4. Participate in the on-call rota, providing 24/7 support and expertise to our team and service users.
  5. Support and mentor junior colleagues, promoting a culture of learning and professional development.
  6. Work closely with our Paediatrician colleague to ensure integrated care and effective collaboration.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent clinical skills and experience in CAMHS, particularly in eating disorders.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Knowledge of local and national policies, guidelines, and best practices in CAMHS.
