About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will play a vital role in shaping our exciting projects and delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Design: Manage a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
  2. Project Management: Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  4. Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Requirements
  1. Chartered Electrical Engineer qualification.
  2. Sound Knowledge of electrical design (LV and HV systems), motor control centres/switchgear, electrical installations and systems within industrial/process environment, HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX installation practice, production of SLD/BCD's, earthing and bonding and familiarity with current UK design standards, including industry specific standards and working practices.
  3. Proficiency in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages, following local and national guidance. E.g. electrical design software such as Trimble/Amtech.
