Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has emerged for two Band 2 Fit Testers to become part of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team. We are seeking dynamic and driven individuals who possess a genuine interest in the field of Fit Testing and Infection Prevention. A commitment to ensuring the safety of both staff and patients is essential, along with a proactive approach to discovering innovative working methods and a collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role involves conducting fit testing for FFP3 masks, ensuring that personnel are equipped with the most appropriate protective gear to safeguard their health. Additionally, the successful candidates will maintain electronic training records and engage in various Infection Prevention and Control support activities alongside clinical staff throughout the organization, which includes training and auditing tasks.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of GCSE level education or equivalent, with grades C or above in English and Mathematics.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certification or accreditation in Fit Testing.
- NVQ Level 4 in business administration, customer service, healthcare support services, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in an administrative, customer service, or patient-focused role.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
Desirable
- Experience within the National Health Service (NHS).
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional record-keeping and data entry abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Willingness and aptitude to learn new systems, processes, and methodologies.
This role will collaborate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to implement the IPC strategy effectively.
