About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer/ML-OPS to join our growing data practice, who will be responsible for supporting the overall Data Engineering Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of data engineering tools, workflows, and processes.
  • Communicate with the Software and Data Science teams to ensure seamless integration of data management technologies.
  • Design and develop data pipelines, leveraging strong experience in Python and data pipelining.
  • Develop and maintain tooling and back testing frameworks, with a focus on time-series forecasting and optimization.
  • Orchestrate machine learning workflows, centralizing diverse datasets for analytics, visualization, and machine learning.
  • Implement monitoring frameworks, such as Prometheus, to ensure data integrity and system performance.
  • Architect and implement data storage solutions, including Parquet on S3 and API/Grafana queries.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and machine learning operations.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Extensive Python experience.
  • Excellent data pipelining building experience.
  • Familiarity with time-series forecasting and/or optimization.
  • Experience with developing tooling and improving back testing frameworks.
  • Experience with orchestrating machine learning workflows.
  • Experience centralizing diverse datasets for analytics, visualization, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency with Orchestration and IaC in AWS (e.g. Terraform, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Airflow), Git, containerization (Docker), database management (e.g. Postgres, Alembic).
  • Experience with monitoring frameworks (e.g. Prometheus).
  • Experience archiving data to Parquet on S3 and creating tools for API/Grafana queries.
  • Knowledge of UK power markets would be advantageous.
