Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Perioperative Care Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in our theatres.

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in planning, delivering, and evaluating perioperative care to patients, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the service and enhancing patient well-being.
  • Contribute to the provision and maintenance of high standards of patient care and a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  • Comply with local protocols regarding drug administration, following appropriate training and assessment.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Registered Nurse/ODP with recognised anaesthetic training.
  • Ability to work as a team member and use own initiative, with problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to work in anaesthetics with minimum supervision, following achievement of set objectives within 3-6 months.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
