We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of invoices and payments.
Your Responsibilities:- Provide support to Accounts Payable Team Leaders in delivering the Accounts Payable function.
- Process payments in accordance with NHS Ayrshire & Arran's Standing Financial Instructions, Operating Procedures, and the CBI Prompt Payment Code.
- Resolve outstanding payment issues with both external suppliers and internal departments.
- Identify and investigate errors in invoices and payments, taking corrective action as needed.
You will have a proven track record of success in a finance environment, ideally within an Accounts Payable role. A strong understanding of VAT regulations, IR35, and the Construction Industry Scheme is desirable. Proficiency in IT software packages such as Excel, Word, and eFinancials is essential.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for this position. You will be working closely with colleagues from various departments and external suppliers.
