CBW Staffing Solutions is in search of a dependable and proficient Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our client's on-site facilities management team. The ideal candidate will undertake a diverse range of responsibilities to maintain the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the client's properties.

Position Overview:
This is a site-based role located in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.

Compensation Package:
  • Attractive salary up to £28,000 per annum (based on experience)

  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours weekly)

  • Involvement in an 'out of hours' on-call schedule (details to be provided)

  • 25 days of annual leave in addition to public holidays

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute routine maintenance and minor repairs across plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC systems

  • Perform regular property inspections to identify and rectify any maintenance issues

  • Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and urgent calls

  • Paint, patch, and repair walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as required

  • Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools

  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance personnel and contractors as needed

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations

Candidate Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a comparable maintenance position

  • Willingness to undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service check

  • Relevant certifications or trade qualifications are advantageous

  • Competence in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items
