We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for leading and driving the development of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in the London Borough of Havering.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in children's mental health and experience in leading and managing teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience, as well as driving quality improvement initiatives across the service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the CAMHS service in Havering, working closely with the Operational Lead and Clinical Leads in the team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience, including the embedding of the i-thrive framework with key stakeholders.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives across the service, including the use of change methodology and Qi principles.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to qualified staff, including direct and indirect supervision.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key partners, including the ICB, Local Authority, GPs, voluntary sector organisations, and other statutory agencies.
Person Specification
  • Qualified psychological practitioner (e.g. psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist, cognitive behavioural therapist) fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body.
  • Extensive experience in children's mental health, including clinical and operational leadership experience across CAMHS.
  • Strong clinical management skills, including knowledge of change methodology and Qi principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective relationships with key partners.
