Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and capable Transport Planner to join our team. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning UK transport in a specialist sector, ensuring that logistics are efficient and cost-effective. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement transportation strategies that meet and exceed customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan all UK transport to meet and aspire to exceed customer's requirements
  2. Ensure planning is carried out in the most efficient and cost-effective way to achieve optimum margin potential
  3. Ensure all collections and deliveries are planned and booked in on time to meet customer requirements in full
  4. Escalate all fluctuations in volume well in advance to assist and support an effective resolution
  5. Ensure internal and external communication lines are proportionate, clear and respectful
  6. All transport must be costed to each transport partner based on their location and cost impact

Requirements:

  • Logical reasoning and effective problem-solving skills
  • From an Operations planning and logistics network, Fleet management background
