Transportation Planner

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment. As a key member of our logistics network, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing transportation routes to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement cost-effective transportation plans to meet customer service requirements
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulations in the transport industry
- Manage driver hours, start and finish times, and route optimization to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
- Ensure adequate resources are available, including drivers and transportation methods
- Communicate effectively with third-party subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Process departmental documentation and drivers' paperwork
- Respond to queries and requests from colleagues and clients
- Experience in a similar role with a global company in a planning logistics network and fleet management
- Strong knowledge of planning systems and processes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
