Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Control and Instrumentation Specialist to join our engineering team at LANXESS Trafford Park site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide control and instrumentation support for the site, ensuring effective communication and implementation of C&I engineering standards.
  • Manage and support the site PLCs, SCADA system, and Distributed Control System (Delta V and Fisher Provox), as well as the site Safety Instrumented System (HIMA HiMAX).
  • Design, commission, and manage the installation of instrument loops, and provide operations support, including fault finding, software interventions, training, alarm management, and process improvements.
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to the Site Management Team for operational, safety, and regulatory compliance for all levels of control & instrument installation.
  • Review and check technical vendor submittals to ensure compliance for all levels of control and instrument installations.
  • Manage C&I project pipeline, support annual budget planning, and Financial Investment Approval processes, and project manage and engineer own small site CAPEX projects.
  • Implement software and hardware modifications, and implement Management of Change procedures.
  • Support FEED studies, providing technical input, detailed engineering, execution, commissioning, and early operations for larger projects.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering discipline (controls or instrumental).
  • Knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environment Legislation and Engineering Standards.
  • Good understanding of maintenance processes and experience of plant engineering activity.
