About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished academic leader to join our Department of Fashion and Textiles at the University of Southampton. As Associate Professor in Design, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our department and contributing to our growing national and international reputation in the field of luxury and sustainable textile practices.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing new curricula and delivering high-quality teaching at all levels, as well as being a research leader. You will contribute to growing the strengths of our dynamic academic team and lead research activities in the sustainable luxury field, knowledge exchange, and impact in our key research areas.

About You

You will have a strong background in fashion and textiles, with a focus on luxury and sustainable practices. You will be an excellent communicator and team player, with the ability to inspire and motivate students, colleagues, and industry partners. You will also have a strong research profile, with a track record of securing funding and publishing in top-tier journals.
