We are seeking a skilled Platform and Infrastructure Specialist (Retail Connectivity) to join our team at Nigel Wright Group. This is a full-time position based in Newcastle upon Tyne, offering a flexible work-life balance in line with role needs. The role is on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate individual who can use technology to drive business objectives and improve services. The successful candidate will have experience in managing large-scale WAN networks across multiple locations and demonstrate extensive knowledge of networking technologies and approaches, including firewalls, VPN, WAN technologies, and VLSM.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be able to:
  • Transform connectivity into a high-performance, flexible, and automated product offering to retail colleagues.
  • Advocate for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) approaches to drive business objectives forward.
  • Manage large-scale WAN networks across multiple locations.

Desirable Skills

The following skills are desirable for the role:
  • Experience working in a large retail environment.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience working with Meraki networking equipment, particularly Meraki MX Gateways.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
