We're seeking an experienced Senior Designer to lead our events and exhibitions team. As a key member of our creative team, you'll be responsible for managing end-to-end design projects, including 3D and 2D conceptual design.

Our client is a well-established family business with a strong presence in the events and exhibitions sector. We're looking for a talented designer who can inspire our team and drive creative innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for design studio environment, culture, team, capabilities, tools, processes, expectations, work style, and other elements that support the strategic goals and brand.
  • Understand and respond creatively to client design briefs.
  • Promote our creative service as a leading edge and ahead of our competition.
  • Deliver strategic communication solutions through design that help our clients achieve their marketing and communications objectives.
  • Plan and schedule work and resources across engagements based on short and long-term needs, establishing production schedules by collaborating with project and design teams.
  • Translate client briefs, marketing goals, and information into strategic brand concepts, storyboards, and rationales.
  • Produce client presentations that are professional, engaging, persuasive, and supported by sound rationale.
  • Produce sketch concepts, 3D annotated visuals, and plans for client proposal presentations.
  • Produce 3D walk-through animations dependent on client size where applicable.
  • Collaborate and contribute to the creative process as part of the creative team.
  • Attend design pitch presentations with Sales and/or Account Director as required.
  • Responsible for understanding and gaining knowledge of venue rules and regulations.
  • Produce working drawings in accordance with venue rules and regulations and our preferred supplier/contractor.
  • Manage graphic content from client files to ensure file sizes and quality are correct to our production build drawings and standards.
  • Be available for worldwide travel to cover project teams in times of event crossover.
  • Maintain regular contact with all clients and suppliers to ensure communication is effective through the correct channels by both telephone and/or email.
  • Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative teams, maintaining strategic and creative thinking to develop innovative and actionable creative initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experienced in creating strategies and projects from developing vision and message platforms to overseeing production on time and budget.
  • Proven experience with concept development.
  • Highly skilled in leading a team of creative talent.
  • Strong creative vision with an understanding of business and client objectives.
  • Hands-on experience in creative process, marketing, graphic design, and brand development.
  • Excellent working knowledge of software such as SketchUp Pro, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, and Vectorworks.
