An exceptional chance has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Radiotherapy Services team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the leadership, management, and delivery of Radiotherapy Services, ensuring high-quality care for approximately 1300 new referrals per annum.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize cost-effectiveness and service efficiency.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to achieve Cancer Waiting Times standards and CQUINs targets for Radiotherapy.
- Drive strategic planning and leadership, including business case development for capital schemes and service changes.
About Our Team
Join a dedicated and friendly team of 8 Clinical and 3 Medical Oncologists, supported by 3 Specialty Doctors, 2 Clinical Fellow posts, and 3 registrars from the Peninsula Postgraduate School of Medicine. Our cancer clinical trials team has a diverse commercial and non-commercial portfolio.
Our Facilities
Our radiotherapy department boasts 2 Elekta VersaHD linear accelerators, Pinnacle 3D planning system, and a new dedicated wide bore CT for treatment planning with 4DCT. Future plans include commissioning a new planning system and an SGRT system, as well as preparing for a back-to-back Linac commissioning program in 2027.
