Accounts Administration Officer
Location: Telford

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 Based on Experience

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM (4 PM finish on Fridays), totaling 36.5 hours per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established manufacturing organization in Telford as an Accounts Administration Officer. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Administration Officer will manage both purchase and sales ledgers while compiling payroll information for an external payroll service provider on a four-weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Ledger Duties:
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring alignment with delivery notes and obtaining necessary approvals prior to payment.
- Address supplier invoice inquiries and maintain the invoice log to guarantee timely processing.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of supplier statements to ensure prompt invoice processing for payments.
- Initiate supplier payments on a mid-month, month-end, and ad-hoc basis.
Sales Ledger Duties:
- Engage with customers to ensure timely and complete payment receipt.
- Monitor customer credit limits to ensure full coverage of outstanding balances.
- Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to resolve customer invoice queries swiftly.
- Process manual sales invoices and credit notes efficiently.
- Allocate and record customer cash receipts in the SAP system.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage petty cash for both Sterling and Euros.
- Process four-weekly payroll using Cintra payroll software.
- Prepare payroll journals and accrue for any unpaid wages at month-end.
- Facilitate HMRC and other non-purchase ledger payments.
- Assist external auditors during the year-end process as required.
- Support the Accounts Department with various ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Financial Controller and Company Secretary.
- Conduct daily CID reporting and monthly reconciliations.
- Participate in bi-annual bank audits.
Skills and Experience Required:
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess prior experience in a similar capacity. A keen attention to detail and a flexible approach are essential, along with the ability to meet monthly deadlines.
