Chef for Children

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Regional Nursery Chef to join our team at Bright Horizons Family Solutions. As a Regional Nursery Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting age-appropriate food for all the children in our care, with a focus on minimizing waste and ensuring all dietary requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and present healthy and nutritious meals for children, adhering to our high standards of food safety and quality.
- Take ownership of managing kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Work closely with the nursery team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration in providing exceptional care and nutrition to our children.
- Develop and lead cookery club sessions with the children, promoting healthy eating habits and culinary skills.
- Support with other nursery activities, such as BBQs, Fetes, and staff meetings, to foster a positive and inclusive environment.
- Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a domestic or commercial setting.
- Passion for nutrition and inspiring others to adopt healthy eating habits.
- Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) certification.
- Sound knowledge of COSHH and managing different dietary requirements, particularly food allergies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, children, and parents.
