As a Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children and young people presenting to the Emergency Department with a range of medical conditions.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver evidence-based care and support the needs of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between departments
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Registered Children's Nurse with current NMC registration
- Recent post-qualification experience in an acute clinical environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
