Payroll Administrator

TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join a reputable firm of chartered accountants based in Kent.
The practice provides a comprehensive accounting service to clients across various sectors, including manufacturing, professional services, marketing, sales, and healthcare. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming payroll information and transactions, including new starters, leavers, absence, statutory leave, and pay, tax codes, and NI category changes.
- Reconcile and process fixed pay instructions, such as basic salary changes and pay uplifts.
- Process weekly and monthly variable pay instructions from sites, including bonuses, shift allowances, and overtime.
- Produce and submit BACS and other external payment files.
- Produce and submit HMRC RTI and auto-enrolment pension files.
- Deliver high-quality payroll output files to customers, including payslips, reports, and KPIs.
- Handle correspondence with employees, sites, and external parties, including overpayment recovery letters and financial references.
Requirements:
- Either bureau or accountancy practice payroll experience.
- CIPP qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Experience in dealing with a mix of weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Hard-working and up for a challenge in a fast-paced working environment.
- Good software and technical payroll knowledge.
