Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Hospitality Manager in overseeing all non-core catering operations across the campus, including events linked to sports activities.
  • Maintain exceptional standards in all service areas.
  • Report for assigned duties as per the staffing schedule.
  • Ensure personal and team appearance aligns with company standards.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment.
  • Organize team tasks to meet specifications and deadlines, providing support as necessary.
  • Prepare for functions well in advance.
  • Communicate with clients before and after events.
  • Conduct staff briefings prior to each function.
  • Onboard new and temporary staff members.
  • Act as a deputy for the Hospitality Manager, handling event inquiries.
  • Manage administrative tasks including emails, calendar management, and stock-taking.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all operational areas before and after events.
  • Adhere to COSHH regulations for safe chemical use.
  • Foster effective communication and partnerships with duty managers and colleagues.
  • Exhibit positive customer service practices to enhance the company image.
  • Motivate and develop team members to uphold unit standards.
  • Participate in training to maintain and improve service standards.
  • Respond to management requests as needed.
  • Assist with core catering commitments as required.
  • Report incidents and take appropriate actions.
  • Support emergency procedures in compliance with fire regulations.
  • Attend required meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist with special programs as directed.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary within the scope of the role.
