Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at Eton College. As a key member of our security department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our pupils, staff, and visitors.
Main Responsibilities- Support the security department in operating all functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and daily briefings, including CCTV monitoring, intruder and fire alarm management, access control, visitor management, and radio system operation.
- Conduct direct patrolling, attend incidents, and coordinate situations with guidance from the Control Room or Security Supervisor, accurately recording all incidents in a concise and appropriate format.
- Maintain a good level of physical fitness to ensure that you can actively and physically fulfill your security responsibilities.
- Undertake staff training as required and receive guidance and instruction from the Head of Security, Deputy Head of Security, and Security Supervisor when necessary.
- Carry out specialist and bespoke security duties in connection with events and VIP visits.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, including completing safeguarding training as required and ensuring any safeguarding updates issued by the College are read and understood.
- Previous security experience is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills to enable effective dialogue with colleagues, staff, visitors, and pupils.
- Good level of literacy, numeracy, and telephone skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence to drive manual vehicles.
- Current SIA CCTV Licence is desirable but not essential (training is provided).
