About the Role

Specter Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for analyzing tender documentation, preparing estimates, and working with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analysis of tender documentation, including drawings and technical documents, to prepare estimates.
  • Preparation of subcontract & suppliers' packages, including take-offs.
  • Consulting with subcontractors and suppliers to discuss estimates and resolve issues and enquiries.
  • Identifying and quantifying cost factors, such as production time and raw material, equipment, and labour expenses.
  • Working with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on estimates.
  • Analyse quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure pricing requirements are fulfilled.
  • Submission of tenders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in the construction sector.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
